The Lotería Supper Club, based in Berlin, Germany, will be hitting the road in February 2012 and hosting dinners in California, Baja, and Arizona. Instead of our usual California/Baja cuisine, we'll be serving up five course tasting menus inspired by German cuisine, complete with wine pairings from Germany and the Guadalupe Valley.
Sample Menus
These sample menus were created one night in December in Berlin, with a couple of friends sitting around in the apartment. "Meine Oma macht es aber so..." (but my Grandma makes it like this...) and "Oh mein Gott das möchte ich jetzt essen" (Oh my God I want to eat that right now) were the most commonly heard phrases. These menus will change when we get to America and see what is available in the markets and what looks particularly good, but to give you an idea of what to expect we have made some sample menus. You'll see some dishes that are typical of different regional German cuisines, as well as a few that have Turkish, French, and Eastern European influences.
