About

Having lived in Germany before, I knew that one of the things I would miss most in moving from San Diego to Berlin would be the food I love from California and Baja. The Lotería Supper Club was born in February 2009 out of a desire to bring Californian/Mexican food to Berlin as well as wanting to meet like-minded people and have a great time. Now we have been running for almost three years and the experience has been lovely, and I decided that I am ready to turn it around and bring German food (and wine!) back to America.

Three years after starting the Lotería Supper Club I remain a devoted foodie, hobby chef, and supper club fan. I grew up in a house where dinner parties for 8 or 12 people weren't unusual, but I have learned a lot about hosting a supper club. My inspiration for the Lotería on the Road dinners comes largely from a trip to a wine festival on the Mosel River that we took in September 2011 where we drank amazing wine and ate more than our fare share of delicious things, whether it was a picnic that we put together at the local market or a meal on the terrace of a restaurant.
