German Food?

Germany is not known internationally for its cuisine outside of sausages, schnitzel, and potato salad. Living in Germany the last few years I have learned to love German food, which has various regional differences and influences. Turkish and Eastern European flavors are very common, and the thing I love best about German food is that Germans eat seasonally and locally grown produce which is easy to get, plentiful, delicious, and inexpensive at the markets that sprout up around Berlin multiple times each week.

Lotería on the Road will be working with the California ingredients I have missed so much, but I hope to stay true to the spirit of Gutbürgerliche Deutsche Küche (German home cooking) with a few twists.
